This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.

Autocross, track days or a canyon road, the 1989-1998 Nissan 240SX rewards a driver who stays located in the seat. The factory seat's bolsters and foam give up long before the chassis does. Swapping to an aftermarket bucket is one of the most effective upgrades you can make, provided the mount is as rigid as the seat.

Sparco 600 Series bases are vehicle-specific, bolt to the factory floor mounts and provide a flat, stable platform for an aftermarket seat. It's a 100% bolt-in installation, and it's easy to reverse if the car ever goes back to stock.

Construction is 3/16" steel with a black wrinkle powder coat, so the base won't flex under load. The top plate carries the Sparco logo and is drilled for Sparco sliders. For race cars that need the lowest seating position, the wide platform lets you drill for side mounts and bolt them straight to the base.

This is the driver/left base, sold individually. The passenger side is 600SB050R. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
