Planted Offset Steel Seat Side Mount Bracket
Planted Steel Offset Side Mounts are L-shaped brackets sold as a left and right pair for mounting side-mount racing seats. The offset bend suits sliders or floor mounts that are as wide as, or wider than, the seat. They are made from 1/8" steel that Planted states meets FIA's side-mount thickness requirement.

Disclaimers:
- Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
- Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
- Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.
- Professional installation is recommended.
Side-mount racing seats carry their mounting holes on the sides of the shell rather than the bottom, so you need a side mount between the seat and the sliders or seat bracket. Planted offers two shapes, and choosing the right one comes down to width.
90-degree side mounts are the most common choice. They're used when the sliders are narrower than the seat and tuck underneath it. Offset side mounts, like these, are for the opposite case, where the sliders or floor mount are the same width as the seat or wider. The offset bend steps the mounting face out so everything lines up. If you're direct-mounting without sliders, either shape works, although Planted generally recommends 90-degree mounts for more side-to-side adjustment.
These are cut from 1/8" steel, which Planted states complies with FIA's required side-mount thickness. They're powder-coated black and weigh about 6.5 lb for the pair. The wide slots have been test-fitted on Bride, Corbeau, Cobra, Momo, NRG, OMP, Racetech, Recaro, Sabelt, Sparco, Status Racing and Takata seats, and they suit most other brands too. Multiple slots allow height and angle adjustment when direct-mounting.
They're sold as a left and right pair for one seat. Mounting hardware is sold separately.
