• Professional installation is recommended.

90-degree side mounts are the most common choice. Use them when your sliders are narrower than the seat and tuck underneath it. They're also Planted's recommendation for direct mounting, because the narrower overall assembly leaves more side-to-side adjustment.

Side-mount racing seats carry their mounting holes on the sides of the shell, so a side mount is needed between the seat and the sliders or seat bracket. Planted side mounts are L-shaped brackets sold as a left and right pair for one seat. They've been test-fitted on Bride, Corbeau, Cobra, Momo, NRG, OMP, Racetech, Recaro, Sabelt, Sparco, Status Racing and Takata seats, and the wide slots suit most other brands. They bolt directly to sliders, with multiple slots for adjustment when direct-mounting without sliders.

These are made from 1/4" aluminum, which Planted states complies with FIA's required side-mount thickness. They're powder-coated grey and weigh approximately 3 lb. Mounting hardware is sold separately, and the Planted Side Mount Hardware Kit attaches the side mounts to the seat.
