Planted Seat Bracket - Nissan 350Z (2003-2008, Low Mount) - Driver/Left
The Planted driver-side seat bracket bolts an aftermarket seat to the factory floor points in the 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z. It is laser-cut 3/16" steel, hand-welded in the USA and pre-slotted for most major slider patterns. It's a solid foundation for autocross, track-day and street builds.

Disclaimers:
- Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
- Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
- Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.
- Professional installation is recommended.
A 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z is built to be driven hard, and the factory seat is usually the first thing that stops keeping up. Once the tires, brakes and suspension are sorted, you start sliding around in the stock seat mid-corner. A proper bucket fixes that, and it needs a solid base underneath it. This is the low-mount version, designed to put the seat as low as possible without modifying the floor. That's the right choice when helmet clearance or a lower hip point matters most.
Planted brings each vehicle into its development center and builds the bracket to the actual floor, which is why it bolts in rather than needing modification. Construction is 3/16" laser-cut steel, hand-welded in the USA for full penetration, with a black powder coat finish and three rounds of quality control.
The top plate is pre-slotted for the slider patterns used by Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Cobra, Corbeau, Momo, NRG, Racetech and most other major seat brands. This is the Standard bolt-pattern bracket, which includes the Recaro pattern. Wide Cobra and Scheel-Mann sliders need one hole per slider elongated by 1/8". There's extra material to drill a less common pattern, or to mount a seat or side mounts directly without sliders.
Extra-Low version allows lowest possible mounting position.
This is the driver/left bracket, sold individually. Order the passenger side separately for a matched pair. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
