• Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
• Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
• Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.

Owners who take a 1999-2005 Ferrari 360 to the track quickly find the limit of the factory seat's support. Moving to a fixed-back bucket makes the car easier to drive at pace, but the cockpit is tight and the floor isn't flat, so the mounting solution has to be right the first time.

Rather than working from a drawing, Planted develops each bracket on the car itself. The result bolts to the factory seat mounting points with no floor modification. The bracket is laser-cut from 3/16" steel, hand-welded in the USA and finished in black powder coat, and every unit is checked at three quality-control stages.

The top plate is pre-slotted for the slider patterns used by Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Cobra, Corbeau, Momo, NRG, Racetech and most other major seat brands. This is the Standard bolt-pattern bracket, which includes the Recaro pattern. Wide Cobra and Scheel-Mann sliders need one hole per slider elongated by 1/8". There's extra material to drill a less common pattern, or to mount a seat or side mounts directly without sliders.

This is the passenger/right bracket, sold individually. The driver side is SB159DR. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
