Planted Seat Bracket - Subaru BRZ / Toyota GR86 (ZD8/ZN8, 2021+) - Driver/Left
The Planted driver-side seat bracket fits the second-generation 2021+ Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 (ZD8/ZN8). It bolts an aftermarket bucket to the factory floor points. It is laser-cut 3/16" steel, hand-welded in the USA and pre-slotted for most major slider patterns, and it's a common first mod for GR Cup-inspired track builds.

Disclaimers:
- Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
- Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
- Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.
- Professional installation is recommended.
The ZD8 BRZ and ZN8 GR86 are among the best track-day platforms of the moment. A proper bucket seat is usually one of the first changes, because the factory seat's bolsters run out of grip once you're on sticky tires. Planted's driver-side bracket gives you a rigid, vehicle-specific base that bolts to the factory mounting points.
Planted develops each application with the car in its shop, using the real floor as the reference rather than a CAD file. The bracket is laser-cut from 3/16" steel, hand-welded for full weld penetration and powder-coated black. Each one passes three quality-control stages.
The top is pre-slotted for the slider patterns used by Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Cobra, Corbeau, Momo, NRG, Racetech, Sabelt, Status Racing, Takata and more. There's extra material for drilling a custom pattern, or for bolting a side-mount seat directly when you want to delete the sliders for helmet clearance.
This is the driver/left bracket, sold individually. The factory seatbelt receiver may need to be bent slightly to clear the center console with some seats. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warnings, which may call for a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
