• Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
• Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.

In a caged S13 or S14, the seat is usually the last few inches of headroom you can recover. This Planted bracket is purpose-built for side-mount racing seats. Its extra-low mounting point lets the seat drop between the stock chassis rails instead of sitting on top of a conventional bracket and slider stack.

The limit is width. The bracket accepts racing seats up to 16" wide measured at the side-mount holes. Measure your seat before ordering, because wider shells simply won't fit between the rails. If your seat is wider, Planted's standard 240SX bracket (SB050DR) is the better option.

The bracket is built from 3/16" steel, hand-welded and powder-coated black. It bolts to the factory mounting points with no floor cutting, and you keep a clean path back to stock later. A set of side mounts is needed to complete the install. Planted's universal steel and aluminum side mounts are available separately.

This is the driver/left bracket, sold individually. After lowering the seat, re-check harness shoulder-belt angles against your harness manufacturer's guidance. Professional installation is recommended.
