Disclaimers:

• Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
• Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
• Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.
• Professional installation is recommended.

Autocross, track days or a canyon road, the 1989-1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata rewards a driver who stays located in the seat. The factory seat's bolsters and foam give up long before the chassis does. Swapping to an aftermarket bucket is one of the most effective upgrades you can make, provided the mount is as rigid as the seat.

This Planted bracket is designed specifically for side-mount racing seats. It sets the mounting point low so the seat sits as low and as far back as the chassis allows, which is the fastest way to recover headroom with a helmet on. It's built from 3/16" steel, hand-welded and finished in black powder coat.

A set of side mounts is needed to complete the install. Planted's universal steel and aluminum side mounts are available separately in 90-degree and offset versions.

Extra-low mounting point allows seat to sit as far back and as low as possible. Multiple mounting points for fine-tuning seating position. Designed around the Sparco Sprint seat but works with similarly sized seats. Not compatible with sliders.

This is the passenger/right bracket, sold individually. The driver side is SB245DR. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
